The Mission: What You'll Be Building
You will be a core contributor in the design, development, and implementation of new models and procedures. You will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and leverage in-depth professional knowledge to develop solutions in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Agile product development. You will be instrumental in building the next generation of our platform, which features core pillars like:
- Adaptive Applications: The intelligent backbone powering the manufacturing enterprise.
- Independent Design & Implementation: Independently design, implement, and lead the development and testing of scalable web application features. Take end-to-end ownership of critical components across modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services.
- Complex Problem Resolution: Provide solutions to complex issues in creative and effective ways. Proactively debug, diagnose, and resolve a wide range of complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack with limited guidance. Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines and apply this knowledge to system design.
- Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor junior engineers, lead complex cross-team code reviews, and help set quality and performance standards. Adapt style to differing audiences and often advise others on difficult matters.
- Code for Scale & Efficiency: Optimize existing code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability, translating complex product and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and working code.
Core Technical Foundations / What we are looking for
- Mastery in Data Structures & Algorithms: A strong foundation, including a clear understanding of time and space complexity.
- OOP Fundamentals: A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is essential.
- Web Basics: Foundational knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend programming (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Python).
- Architectural Awareness: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and end-to-end application communication, as well as an awareness of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
- Strategic Problem Solver: Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to quickly learn and adopt cutting-edge technologies. Understands and works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Ownership & Quality: A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, demonstrating end-to-end responsibility for features and architectural components.
- Proactive Leader: Takes initiative to anticipate and address future needs, risks, or improvements.
- Quick Learner: Demonstrates a rapid capacity to grasp new technologies, complex systems, and development methodologies.
- Strategic Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver world-class enterprise SaaS products used by global customers. Enhance relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners.
- Tactical Accountability: Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 to 8 years of related professional software development experience.
- Location: This is an on-site opportunity based in Pune with 3-4 days work from the office.. candidates willing to be based in Pune will be eligible.
