Job Overview
Citi's Data Analytics and Risk Technology (DART) team is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact risk reporting and data visualization solutions across some of the largest portfolios in the financial industry. In this role, you will translate complex risk exposures into clear, actionable insights that inform senior leadership decisions and support regulatory requirements. You will work at the intersection of risk management, data engineering, and analytical application development — shaping how risk is measured, monitored, and communicated at a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and reports that give risk and business leaders a real-time view of portfolio performance and key risk metrics.
- Analyse and communicate complex risk exposures to senior management and committee forums, translating granular data into clear, decision-ready narratives.
- Automate data flows and underlying data transformation processes using Tableau Prep Builder, spanning enterprise risk data sets across multiple source systems.
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to design and build analytical applications that support portfolio monitoring, strategic decision-making, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor data quality across risk reporting pipelines, establish governance controls, and implement corrective actions when issues are identified.
- Lead cross-functional project workstreams for risk-wide initiatives, including platform implementations, automation improvements, and process control enhancements.
- Act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders, advising on risk metrics methodology, reporting best practice, and data controls.
Required qualifications & skills
- 5 or more years of experience in finance or risk data analytics, with a track record of delivering reporting and visualization solutions in a complex institutional environment.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
- Hands-on proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep Builder for end-to-end dashboard development and data transformation.
- Advanced capability in Excel, VBA, and MS Access for data analysis, modelling, and automation of reporting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse large and granular data sets, identify key trends, and present findings clearly to senior audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risk metrics and insights to senior management and negotiate across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of financial markets and risk management concepts, with the ability to connect quantitative data to real business context.
Beneficial skills & qualifications
- Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent data visualization platforms as a complement to Tableau expertise.
- Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA in Finance, CA, or a master's degree in engineering or computer science from a premier institution.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk and finance reporting platforms used within large financial institutions, such as those covering regulatory capital, credit risk, or portfolio analytics.
- Experience applying AI or advanced analytics techniques to enhance risk reporting or automate analytical workflows.
