Senior Network Design Engineering

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

As a Senior Network Design Engineering, you'll provide expert consultation and lead the design, validation, and deployment of enterprise network solutions for large commercial and strategic customers, with Aruba Wireless LAN technology as a primary area of technical focus. You'll also serve as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor from requirements through production deployment.

• Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Network Design and Architecture: Design scalable enterprise wireless solutions using Aruba WLAN technologies, including Aruba access points, controllers, and management platforms, along with enterprise routing, switching, and IP networking.

• Validation and Deployment: Lead requirements, lab validation, proof of concept, pilot, implementation, and production transition for Aruba WLAN and broader enterprise network solutions.

• Customer Technical Leadership: Lead Aruba wireless architecture and design discussions with customer technical teams and executives, influence decisions, and serve as a trusted advisor.

• Optimization and Troubleshooting: Assess environments, resolve complex Aruba WLAN, wireless, and network issues, and recommend design and performance improvements.

• Collaboration and Standards: Manage concurrent engagements; collaborate across Service Delivery, Operations, Product, Engineering, and partners; and develop Aruba WLAN design standards, documentation, and best practices.

• Job Contribution: Senior professional with 10+ years of enterprise network architecture, design, and implementation experience. Applies expert routing, switching, IP networking, and large-scale wireless knowledge, including deep hands-on Aruba WLAN design, deployment, and troubleshooting experience. Operates autonomously, guides others, and leads complex initiatives.

• Required Skills: Aruba WLAN expertise is required, including demonstrated experience designing, deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting large-scale Aruba wireless environments. Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and technical leadership skills are also required.

• Preferred Qualifications: Professional-level Aruba certification; experience with Aruba Central and related Aruba wireless management platforms; Meraki or Juniper Mist; SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, security, cloud networking, Python, APIs, or automation; and Cisco or Juniper professional-level certifications.

• Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 10+ years of related enterprise network architecture, design, and implementation experience preferred, including substantial hands-on experience with Aruba WLAN technologies. Certification is required in some areas.
