We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager II to own consumer marketing for Canada. You will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy and owning execution across integrated campaigns, local content, and partnerships, working closely with brand, media, creative, CRM, and agency partners to drive measurable outcomes. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role at the intersection of growth, brand and performance marketing on a lean, fast-moving team.
The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, a genuine feel for what resonates with Canadian consumers, the ability to develop strategy and build cross-functional buy-in, and the discipline to deliver quality work across multiple concurrent programs.
This role reports to the Director, Consumer Growth & Partnerships Marketing.
Develop & gain executive alignment of the Canada marketing strategy.
Execute the marketing strategy as the single DRI in partnership with cross-functional teams and agencies.
Own Canada brand partnerships and agency relationships including supporting existing relationships and recommending new opportunities.
Inform Instacart’s Canadian brand and business growth with deep consumer, category, and competitive insights.
Own the Canadian influencer program that produces local, engaging content that fuels performance, developed in close partnership with our media team and agency partners.
Ensure that campaigns and content reaching Canadian consumers are accurate, culturally relevant, and on brand — with localization expertise applied across owned and paid content.
Own Canada monthly marketing budget tracking ensuring it is managed on time and with precision.
(Minimum Qualifications)
10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing and integrated campaign marketing with a strong focus on strategy and execution, preferably within a US-based consumer tech company navigating Canada as a distinct market.
A proven ability to develop marketing strategy, translating business goals into compelling brand narratives and breakthrough campaigns.
Deep fluency in brand and campaign marketing mechanics: you understand how to write a strategic & creative brief; partner with channel leads and agency partners; and execute & measure.
You are willing to roll up your sleeves and play both high & low--- moving fluidly between executive strategy and hands-on execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting and defending strategy to VP and C-suite stakeholders.
Deep understanding of Canadian culture and market nuance, including regional differences across the country and experience reaching consumers in Quebec.
A natural collaborator who excels at building consensus and leading diverse cross-functional teams towards shared goals.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
