Rolling Stock Engineer (Mechanical)

Able to perform train system design reviews (with minimal guidance) Technically competent to review the Design of most major mechanical systems such as carbody & bogie design, vehicle dynamics, pneumatics & brake system, air-conditioning, door system, coupler etc. Capable of engaging effectively with Contractor and Client during design workshops Able to verify the Contractor’s design calculations and test reports Demonstrable ability to identify, understand and apply relevant Engineering Standards Knowledge of statutory approval process for Indian Metros including RDSO trials Can objectively assess and report on the Contractor’s planning and execution of manufacturing, factory tests, trials & systems integration matters Able to work under own initiative to produce high quality reports and presentations Project : Chennai Metro Phase II GC service Consultant : Nippon Koei – AARVEE-BARSYL NKAB Funding Agency: JICA Corridor : 3&5 Level : K3 Man Months : 24

Requirements

• BTech Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree (MTech or MSc preferred) At least 8 years of total professional

experience

At least 5 years relevant rail/metro

Previous design (or design review)
