Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Aurangabad

Reporting To: QMS Head / Quality Manager
Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Conduct dimensional and surface inspections using instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, and Surface Roughness Tester.
Monitor and record quality data during various stages of production (e.g. pickling, slitting, Cold Rolling, annealing).
Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain daily inspection logs, test certificates, and quality reports.
Ensure product traceability from Raw Materials to Finish Goods.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for customer complaints and internal rejections.
Conduct final quality check before dispatch and ensure packing quality compliance.
Assist in internal audits, 5S audits, and QMS documentation.
Coordinate with production and dispatch teams for quality clearances.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
Minimum 1–4 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in steel coil or sheet metal manufacturing.
Knowledge of measuring instruments, ISO 9001 documentation, and QMS tools.
Understanding of product standards, specifications, and tolerances.
Familiarity with rejection analysis and continual improvement initiatives.
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Team player with cross-functional coordination abilities.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and report preparation.
Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure.
Strict adherence to safety, PPE, and housekeeping protocols.
Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen culture.
Capable of training operators on quality checkpoints when required.
Participate actively in continual improvement and audit readiness.
