Quality Incharge for Ice Cream

Summary: This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency across all Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts products, from raw materials to finished goods. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes, implementing and enforcing Food Safety Management Systems, and maintaining strict hygiene and sanitation protocols within the production environment. By driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of compliance, the position plays a key role in safeguarding brand integrity, regulatory adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspection, testing, and analysis of raw materials, packaging, and finished Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain alignment with ISO requirements, and ensure meticulous documentation across all quality processes. Monitor and uphold plant-wide hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation standards across all production and support areas. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality systems, operational efficiency, and compliance performance. Evaluate the performance and competency of the Quality team, and coordinate scheduled training programs to strengthen team capabilities. Accurately collect, monitor, maintain, and update quality-related data in a timely and consistent manner, ensuring no deviations from established protocols.

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. 8-10 yrs Exp., Proven

experience

in quality assurance within the food manufacturing or dairy industry, preferably in frozen desserts or ice cream production. In-depth knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000). Strong understanding of SOPs, documentation practices, and compliance standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to lead training sessions and mentor team members in quality practices. Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
