About the RoleWe are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with a strong foundation in QA and hands-on exposure to automation testing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Playwright, API testing, scripting, and modern application environments, with a strong mindset toward quality,ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and API applications.
- Develop and maintain reliable and scalable test automation scripts/frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Identify, report, track, and validate defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and proactively improve test coverage and quality.
- Contribute to QA best practices and automation maturity.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, SDLC, STLC, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
- Hands-on or basic experience with Playwright automation.
- Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- API testing experience with Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or similar.
- Good understanding of Git and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or AI-based testing.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing using tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Basic understanding of security testing.
- BDD experience with Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Basic SQL/database testing knowledge.
- Experience working in the ERP domain, with Frappe exposure being an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
