TailorFlow AI is a Cambridge-based enterprise AI services company that designs and delivers bespoke solutions for complex business problems. We help enterprises and ambitious mid-market organisations identify valuable AI opportunities and implement systems that work in real business environments.

Our customers are based across the UK, South Africa, the Americas and Australia. Most work happens asynchronously, offering flexibility in how team members structure their day. Depending on the project, you should be comfortable maintaining three to four hours of overlap with the relevant customer geography.

We are a small, growing team primarily based in Cambridge, with newer team members working remotely from India. As our international customer base grows, we are adding more remote team members in India.

About the role

We are looking for a Python Developer to build backend services, integrations and automation workflows for bespoke AI projects.

You will solve varied technical problems and help move client solutions from prototype to dependable production use.

What you will do

· Develop backend services, APIs and automation workflows in Python.

· Integrate external platforms, databases and AI services.

· Process structured and unstructured business data.

· Write clear, tested and maintainable production code.

· Investigate performance, reliability and data-quality issues.

· Collaborate with analysts and engineers on client implementations.

What we are looking for

· to four years of professional Python development experience.

· Strong knowledge of Python fundamentals and common backend patterns.

· Experience building APIs and working with databases.

· Good debugging, testing and version-control practices.

· Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and business domains quickly.

· A proactive, ownership-oriented working style.

It would be helpful if you have

· Experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask.

· Exposure to cloud services, containers or CI/CD.

· Familiarity with LLM APIs, OCR or workflow automation.

Deep AI expertise is not essential, but you should be interested in building software that makes AI useful in real workflows.
