Senior Software Engineer - Python Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a PHP / Laravel Developer to join our Technology team. This role involves developing scalable and secure web applications using the Laravel framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our digital insurance platform.

• • Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing an overall organizational strategy for RPA that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes RPA design, data model designs, best practises etc.
    • You should have strong programming skills and exposure to following technology areas.
    • Extensive Experience in designing & delivering automation solutions in Python, Django and Flask
    • Experience with HTTP, REST, RESTful, JSON API services in a programming language.
    • Familiarity with ORM
    • Good Data Structure and algorithms, Selenium and SQL knowledge is plus
    • Strong unit test and debugging skills
    • You can write clean, high-quality, scalable code in Python and are also able to spot (and improve) bad code.
    • You have understanding and ability to apply SOLID principles, follow OOPs, and utilize design patterns to solve complex problem.
    • Exposure and knowledge to Cloud technology such as Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes is added advantage
    • You have an experimental and creative mindset and you relish the opportunity to try new things.
    • Translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and developing the code to create the solutions
    • Review code for compliance and reuse and ensure code complies with RPA architectural standards
    • Responsible and accountable for maintaining the RPA Object Library. Creating practices and standards on developing and perpetually maintaining re-usable components
    • Lead problem identification/error resolution process, including tracking, repairing and reporting defects
    • Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
    • Maintain/monitor RPA environments (Dev/Test/Prod)

    Skills and Qualifications Requirements

    • Overall 5+ years of experience of which at least 3+ years of experience in software development.
    • Experience with Process Improvement/Optimization
    • Experience with the Waterfall and Agile software development processes
    • Ability to work well with business analysts, programmers, vendors and end users in cross functional teams
    • Awareness of commercial or open-source RPA and Low-Code/No-Code platforms is an advantage but not a necessity.

    Strong interpersonal skills

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
