The Opportunity:

UST is looking for Python Automation Engineer.

We are looking for a skilled Python Automation Developer with experience in Firmware Validation to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for validating firmware features across server and embedded platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, automation framework development experience, and a solid understanding of firmware validation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust automation frameworks using Python.

• Create and maintain automated test scripts for firmware validation.

• Automate firmware feature, functional, regression, and system-level testing.

• Develop tools for log collection, parsing, reporting, and failure analysis.

• Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform root cause analysis and debugging of firmware-related issues.

• Collaborate with firmware developers, validation engineers, and hardware teams.

• Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and test reliability.

• Generate validation reports and test metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong programming expertise in Python.

• Hands-on experience with PyTest, Robot Framework, Unittest, or custom automation frameworks. • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) and design patterns.

• Experience with automation framework development from scratch.

• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.

• Experience with Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

• Exposure to firmware testing and validation methodologies. Firmware Validation Skills

• Firmware feature validation and regression testing.

• BIOS, BMC, UEFI, CPLD, or Embedded Firmware validation.

• Firmware upgrade/downgrade validation.

• Platform bring-up and system validation.

• Log analysis and issue debugging.

• Understanding of server platform architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Server Platform Validation experience.

• API automation (Redfish/IPMI).

• Shell/Bash scripting.

• Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART.

• Experience in CI/CD automation environments.
