• Job Description:

As the Procurement Specialist for Pack out, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Working within the 3rd Party Manufacturing team, you will create, support and implement category strategies to ensure the Procurement organization and 3M meet its cost savings, growth and working capital goals by leading negotiations, being part of effective NPI launches, and managing complex supplier relationships.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

• Develop and implement AMERICAS Pack Out Services category strategies to support Procurement cost, cash, and growth objectives.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain Operations.
• Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives by applying innovative Procurement best practices and leveraging data, metrics, and analysis.
• Lead supplier selection, manage supplier relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for 3M, including negotiations and support for effective NPI launches.
• Identify and implement solutions for complex sourcing and supply challenges, including dual-sourcing, category strategy, supplier management, and negotiation of agreements such as VMI, consigned materials, and formula-based pricing.

Your Skills and Expertise

• To set you up for success in this role from day, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Overall 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of relevant experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing
• Experience in Procurement, including work with third-party manufacturing or similar environments, along with strong negotiation and contracting skills.

• Initiative-driven self-starter with a positive and proactive approach
• Project management experience with a proven ability to collaborate successfully on complex projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by financial acumen and comfort with business analytics
