Private Cloud Service Delivery Manager (TX DIR)

Peraton is hiring for a

Private Cloud Service Delivery Manager

 to support the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) with overall accountability for Private Cloud, network, and AI Platform service delivery.

 

The Service Delivery Manager will provide operational leadership across the Private Cloud, network, and AI Platform environments, ensuring service-level attainment, infrastructure lifecycle management, incident and problem management, ServiceNow service fulfillment, and CMDB accuracy.

 

This position supports operations across both the Austin Data Center (ADC) and San Angelo Data Center (SDC). This position supports both Austin Data Center (ADC) and San Angelo Data Center (SDC)

• Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall operational accountability for Private Cloud, network, and AI Platform service delivery.

• Ensure SLA attainment across all applicable service tiers

• Manage compute and VM lifecycle management across the Austin Data Center (ADC) and San Angelo Data Center (SDC).

• Provide AI Platform service delivery when the optional sovereign AI Platform is implemented.

• Lead day-to-day incident and problem management, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.

• Manage ServiceNow service catalog fulfillment.

• Maintain CMDB accuracy and configuration management.

• Coordinate service delivery across Private Cloud, network, compute, storage, cloud, and AI/GPU environments as applicable.

• Monitor operational performance and ensure achievement of contractual service levels.

• Coordinate with other service delivery teams and vendors within the MSI/multi-vendor operating model.

• Support continuous improvement of service management and operational processes.

Qualifications

 

• Required Qualifications:

• 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience.

• 7+ years of private cloud or enterprise data center managed services operations experience.

• Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter/vSphere or an equivalent hypervisor platform — required.

• Experience managing tiered storage environments, including SAN/NAS, in conjunction with compute environments.

• Experience with ITIL-based service management operations.

• Experience managing infrastructure in a government or regulated environment.

• Familiarity with the ServiceNow ITSM platform.

• Experience working within MSI/multi-vendor government IT delivery models.

• Demonstrated experience with incident management, problem management, SLA management, and enterprise service delivery.

• Strong operational leadership and communication skills.

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certification — required.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.

• Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure.

• Experience with GPU compute environments.

• Experience supporting cloud AI platforms.

• Experience with sovereign AI platforms.

• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.

• Cloud architecture certification, such as AWS, Azure, or equivalent.

• Experience operating large-scale private cloud or data center environments across multiple physical locations.

• Experience supporting state government, federal government, or other highly regulated IT environments.

• Experience managing high-availability infrastructure with stringent SLA requirements.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
