The

Quality Control Coordinator

ensures the timely production of accurate, industry-compliant shop drawings and 3D models for precast concrete projects. This role bridges drafting and engineering teams by coordinating resources, maintaining quality control standards, and streamlining processes. Additionally, the coordinator supports drafters’ professional development. Ideal candidates possess strong technical expertise in precast concrete drafting. 

• DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

1. Drafting Team Coordination

 

• Act as the primary quality control checker of erection drawings and production shop tickets on assigned projects. 
• Act as the primary drafting contact for project managers, engineers, and clients. 
• Attend project meetings to provide drafting updates and address technical concerns. 
• Review and interpret architectural, construction, and structural drawings, plans, and details from AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF documents.

    
2. Quality Control & Standards Compliance 

• Review precast concrete shop drawings, reinforcement details, and 3D models for accuracy and adherence to project specifications. 
• Enforce company drafting standards and implement best practices for quality assurance. 
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to identify and resolve design inconsistencies.

 
3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

• Improve drafting workflows, model organization, and file management. 
• Work with project teams to ensure constructability of designs. 
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback for drafters.
