Power BI Consultant for Support services

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Consultant to provide Application Management and Support (AMS) services for enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, enhancing, and supporting Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and data integration processes while ensuring business continuity and high service quality.

The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, incident resolution capabilities, and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI and related data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Operations
Provide L1/L2/L3 support for Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and dataflows.
Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions for recurring issues.

Power BI Development & Enhancement
Develop and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Design and maintain Power Query transformations and ETL processes.
Improve report performance through data model optimization and best practices.
Implement change requests and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Management & Governance
Manage datasets, workspaces, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control standards.
Maintain report documentation, support manuals, and knowledge repositories.
Support user access management and workspace administration.

• Educational qualification:

B.Tech/B.E

• Experience:

1 to 4 years

• Mandatory/requires Skills:
  Technical Skills
  Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI.
  Expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
  Experience with Power BI Service, Gateways, Dataflows, and Workspace Administration.

Experience with performance tuning and report optimization.

• Preferred Skills:
  Knowledge of Azure Data Services, Fabric, Synapse, or Data Warehouse concepts is an advantage.
