JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a highly experienced

Platform & DevOps Engineer

with 12+ years of experience and a strong hands-on background in building and operating software platforms at enterprise scale.

This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond traditional DevOps and has deep expertise in platform engineering, Kubernetes, AWS, infrastructure automation, and cloud architecture. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and highly available platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and reliably.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with an architectural mindset, and is comfortable working across infrastructure, automation, observability, security, and developer enablement.

• Please note: you must have at least 12 years of DevOps experience and deep, hands-on expertise with enterprise platforms to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY & EXPERIENCE

• Deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong experience architecting cloud infrastructure on AWS, including multi-account strategies, networking, security, identity management, governance, and cost optimization.
• Proven experience designing enterprise DevOps platforms using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and deployment automation.
• Ability to architect highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable, and disaster recovery-ready infrastructure capable of supporting mission-critical applications.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture, container orchestration, networking, load balancing, ingress controllers, service discovery, storage, and security.
• Experience managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters, Kafka platforms, PostgreSQL databases, NGINX, and other critical infrastructure services in production.
• Expertise in Linux administration, Python, Shell scripting, API integrations, and infrastructure automation for large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, and distributed tracing solutions.
• Ability to design and build self-service developer platforms, reusable deployment frameworks, and automation solutions that improve engineering productivity, operational reliability, and deployment velocity.
• Ability to define DevOps architecture standards, platform engineering practices, security controls, automation frameworks, and operational governance across engineering teams.
• Proven leadership in driving platform modernization, evaluating new Technologies, conducting architecture reviews, mentoring engineers, and enabling secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
