The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.

 

 

We're looking for a People & Recruitment Specialist to join People Ops

• This is a dual role: you will own full-cycle recruitment across the entire organization, and carry a substantial part of a growing People Operations function. Both halves are core — this is not a recruiting seat with occasional HR tasks attached.

The role is hands-on and autonomous: you run your own searches start to finish and partner directly with executive stakeholders in the US and Israel. You'll report to the Head of People. Monday through Friday, US Eastern time.

What You'll Do:

Recruiting

• Full-Cycle Ownership: Every requisition is yours from the first intake call to the signed offer — intake and scorecard definition, sourcing, screening, stakeholder coordination, offer construction and close. Nothing is handed off mid-search. This spans every function at Sauce, from entry-level sales through executive search.

• Sourcing: Sourcing is the core of this desk. You build and run your own pipelines rather than working with just inbound applications - utilize outbound InMail campaigns, niche boards, referrals, talent mapping and market research. You are expected to generate qualified candidates across the US (primarily NYC and Miami), LATAM, Europe, Israel and Asia.

• AI-Augmented Workflow: Use AI tooling as a core part of everyday work— resume screening, interview transcription and analysis, and drafting of ATS notes and candidate communications. We expect you to build workflows, not just use tools out of the box.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Partner directly with department heads and the executive team across time zones. Where external search partners are used, you brief, calibrate and hold them accountable.

• Candidate Experience: Run a transparent, well-communicated process, including scheduling across US, Israeli and international calendars and clear communication on rejections and pauses.

• Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain clean ATS data, build and share funnel metrics, and bring insight — not just numbers — to weekly hiring syncs.

• Offers & Contracting: Prepare offers for US employees and international contractors, coordinate multi-signer signature workflows, and work with Finance on compensation structures across geographies.

People Operations

• Employee Lifecycle Administration: Own the full lifecycle —, internal moves and promotions, contract and role changes, and offboarding — including communications, system access, documentation and records across every stage.

• Employee Experience & Welfare: Own the practical side of employee experience: equipment provisioning and logistics, swag and gifting programs, perks and welfare initiatives, and the day-to-day requests that come with supporting a distributed team.

• Culture & Engagement: Organize physical activities across our office locations and activities for the remote population, team events, holiday and milestone celebrations, engagement surveys and internal communications.

• HRIS & Systems Administration: Keep employee data accurate across HR and recruiting systems, own the ATS and HRIS as systems rather than repositories, and support recurring workforce reporting.

• Employment Structures: Support hiring and administration across US employment, EOR and international contractor models, coordinating with the relevant platforms and internal stakeholders.

• Policy & Compliance Support: Support policy rollout and stay current with local employment considerations across the markets we hire in.

What You Bring:

Based in South America or Mexico

3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency, with demonstrated ownership of searches from intake to close

Proven sourcing ability — you can point to hires you generated yourself through outbound, not inbound applications.

Meaningful People Operations or HR generalist experience — employee lifecycle administration, HR systems, employment administration, and hands-on employee experience work such as equipment, swag and culture activities

Experience hiring across multiple functions and seniority levels, and internationally across time zones, including distributed or contractor-based teams

Hands-on AI tool usage in your actual workflow, with specific examples of what you've built or automated

Strong ATS fluency — Lever preferred; Greenhouse, Workday or similar acceptable

HRIS familiarity — Deel preferred; Remote, Rippling, Workday or similar acceptable

Impeccable written and spoken English — you'll be drafting candidate, stakeholder and agency communications daily and representing Sauce to senior candidates

Comfort operating with minimal structure and managing senior stakeholders, including executives

Strong judgment — able to make a clear recommendation on a candidate rather than presenting options without a point of view
