• ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and deliver high quality code, scripts, and services using Agile and DevOps practices in an AWS cloud environment.

• Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to build and maintain solutions following Agile development principles.

• Contribute actively to improving development practices, methodologies, and team productivity.

• Build applications with a focus on simplicity, reliability, scalability, performance, and reusability.

• Follow established coding standards, best practices, and style guidelines.

• Participate in peer code reviews to improve code quality.

• Provide Level 2 support, debugging, and troubleshooting for existing applications.

• Mentor junior developers and support their growth.

• Ensure secure development practices and maintain end to end application security

• REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Core Java & Backend:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, OOP, J2EE, and microservice design fundamentals

• Hands on Experience with Micro Services (RESTful APIs /JSON, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc) on containerization architecture

• Experienced with Agile scrum delivery model

• Strong knowledge of multithreading and design patterns

• Experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus

• Building and consuming REST APIs (SOAP optional)

• Integration & Messaging

• Basic to intermediate experience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks

• Experience with any messaging systems such as ActiveMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS is a plus

• Proficiency working with JSON, XML, and XSD schemas

• Database

• Experience with any relational and NoSQL databases 

• Cloud & DevOps

• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, OpenSearch etc.. is a plus

• Familiarity with Docker; basic understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift
  Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven)

• Comfortable working in Linux environments

• Testing

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito or similar

• Familiarity with Postman or SOAP UI or similar

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

• Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Basic Python scripting for automation or AWS tasks

• Exposure to JavaScript for frontend or full stack work

• EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
