The main requirement of the Marketing Year-In-Industry role is to provide support in the delivery of the Mira marketing strategy.We’re seeking a proactive and organised Year-In-Industry student to join our Marketing team and take ownership of Space 100, our on-site meeting and events area. This is a hands-on role that blends event coordination with marketing project support, offering a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.The preferred candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with solid time management, organisational, and analytical capabilities. The role requires someone who can effectively prioritise tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. A high level of attention to detail is essential, particularly when handling and delivering accurate data. Additionally, the successful candidate should demonstrate creative thinking and a willingness to develop new processes and procedures, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.It sounds like a big role, and it is! The role is hands-on and often involves working as part of a wider team as well.Event CoordinationDay-to-day running of Space 100; act as the first point of contactCoordination of Space 100 calendar and meeting areasEnsure all Space 100 equipment and appliances are fully functioning daily, engaging with service providers where required for repairs or fulfilment of service contractsWork with facilities team to ensure Space 100 is always clean and tidy, and any repairs are dealt with in a timely mannerLiaise with internal teams and departments to find out their exact meeting & event requirementsProduce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)Research suppliers and contractors & working with the Procurement team, negotiate prices and hireManage and coordinate all event logisticsLiaise with the marketing team to publicise and promote eventsManage all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packsCoordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budgetGive full briefings to relevant partiesOrganise car parking, security and first aid, and the booking in of any guests to siteEnsure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followedWork with EHS to manage RAMs for eventsOversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficientlyProduce post-event evaluation to inform future eventsResearch opportunities for new eventsSkills/RequirementsCollection and organisation of dataPerform competitor analysis and tracking key market insights/informationUndertaking customer analysis to contribute to the route-to-market strategyAnalysis of data, using appropriate toolsPerforming market analysis to identify new opportunities and collaborating with design and engineering to identify future product development needsCreating design briefs for product focused content creationCollaborating with Marketing colleagues to create promotional materialCategory management to drive sales/profitability of current product portfolioPresentation of findings in a clear and concise mannerCreation of internal presentationsPresenting to individuals or small functional groupsDevelop knowledge in business situations and Kohler Co. policies and procedures leading to career advancementManagement of SelfAbility to work for extended periods aloneDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detailDemonstrate a flexible and proactive approachPossess strong administrative and IT skillsDemonstrate self-motivation and enthusiasmPossess excellent time-management skills and the ability to work under pressureProven project management experienceProblem-solving skills and diplomacyUnderstand own strengths and development areasUnderstand personal performance expectations and how these may impact the team.Management of OthersBasic awareness of other people's personality traits and working styles Contributes ideas in a way that is respectful and understanding of individual experience and knowledgeOpenly works within a team and collaborates with others to deliver resultsIs trusted and valued by peers and colleaguesGives and receives candid feedback throughout the team.
