Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manual Testing Engineer with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing and strong exposure to the Banking / Financial Services domain. The candidate should have good knowledge of the STLC, SDLC, test case design, defect management, and functional testing processes.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling testing activities, understanding business requirements, preparing test scenarios and test cases, executing test cycles, and coordinating with development and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios.

Design, review, and execute test cases and test scripts.

Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity and End-to-End testing.

Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar defect management tools.

Perform UI and backend/database validation.

Validate data using SQL queries.

Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test execution, and defect triage meetings.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, wherever applicable.

Execute regression testing for application releases and enhancements.

Validate interfaces and integrations between banking applications and downstream/upstream systems.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA teams.

Prepare test execution reports and provide testing status to stakeholders.

Identify test coverage gaps and ensure adequate testing of critical business scenarios.

Participate in UAT support, production validation, and release activities.
