Roles & responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership & Delivery Accountability
- Own outcomes for assigned clients, engagements or portfolio areas, including quality, timeliness, budget discipline and stakeholder confidence.
- Translate client and business priorities into delivery plans, governance routines, milestones and success measures.
- Oversee multiple workstreams, ensure SLAs are achieved and maintain strong quality through planning, controls and accountability.
- Drive consistent delivery through robust trackers, handoffs, issue logs, review routines and lessons-learned actions.
Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management
- Act as a trusted operational lead for stakeholders and provide clear insight on performance, risks, dependencies and decisions required.
- Manage complex escalations by clarifying facts, assessing impact, aligning stakeholders and agreeing mitigation or recovery plans.
- Anticipate portfolio risks, capacity constraints and commercial sensitivities, escalating with clear recommendations.
Quality, Risk & Issue Management
- Sign Off deliverables and ensure issue resolutions meet quality, risk, control and documentation standards before release.
- Hold teams accountable for root cause analysis, corrective actions, prevention plans and lessons learned.
- Sponsor standardisation, automation, redesign and scalable process improvements across engagements.
People Management & Commercial Discipline
- Lead and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Assistant Managers; support goal setting, feedback, career development and succession.
- Delegate meaningful ownership while maintaining accountability and reducing key-person dependency.
- Own budgets, utilisation, capacity and margin drivers; improve resource mix, operating model, automation and controls.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead portfolio-level improvements that reduce rework, strengthen controls and improve delivery resilience.
- Sponsor standardisation, automation, redesign and scalable governance practices across engagements.
- Develop business cases for growth or improvement, covering benefits, risks, capacity, controls and commercial impact.
Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
- Coach Assistant Managers and broader teams on judgement, stakeholder management, risk awareness and commercial discipline.
Build succession depth through stretch ownership, structured feedback and development of future engagement leads
Educational qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university with excellent academic result, majoring in accounting or finance or a similar field.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in Global Mobility, Compensation, Payroll, HR Operations, or Shared Services, preferably from of the Big 4
- ATT, GPHR, GMS - T, CIPP qualification would be an advantage.
