Role Summary

The Manager, IT Delivery role manages and leads a team of technical support staff who design, develop, test, implement, and monitor software and tools; works with business leaders to define scope and requirements, and plans and executes the development of various systems; and acts as liaison with business sponsors and principals, while leading cross-functional teams, managing project risks and resources, and integrating cybersecurity best practices to ensure secure and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Corporate Systems technology strategy, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities and technology OKRs, and translating strategic intent into clear platform and delivery outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with different stakeholders for Corporate Systems in partnership with architecture and engineering leaders, making deliberate trade-offs to balance platform health, risk, and delivery momentum.
• Provide engineering leadership across Corporate Systems platforms, ensuring they are stable, scalable, and aligned to architectural standards and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to connect strategic intent to execution by balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution—including modernisation, decommissioning legacy components, and reducing technical debt with measurable outcomes.
• Define and drive initiatives that improve platform and delivery efficiency, leveraging automation, AI, and modern engineering practices to reduce manual effort and operational risk
• Lead cross-functional teams, raising the bar and building high performance through coaching, feedback and enterprise mindset.
• Lead sourcing partners and international delivery teams ensuring effective collaboration, quality outcomes, and alignment to delivery expectations.
• Drive delivery excellence by leading quality initiatives, applying Agile and Lean practices, and ensuring reliable, predictable outcomes across Corporate Systems platforms.
• Provide transparent governance by communicating and reporting delivery status, performance metrics, risks, dependencies, and key initiatives across leadership and governance forums.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT project management, software development, or IT service delivery. Previous leadership experience required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. PMP, ITIL, or Agile certifications preferred.
• Experienced in leading engineering delivery for critical platforms, ensuring robust architecture and reliability
• Strong engineering quality and release discipline—code health, automated testing, CI/CD and environment management—enabling fast, secure deployments with proactive risk management and operational resilience.
• Strong capability to set technical direction with architects and Tech Leads: defining reference architectures, engineering standards, and guardrails (APIs, integration patterns, data flows, security, and observability).
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams building cloud-native solutions on AWS, with practical understanding of patterns such as serverless/event-driven, containerised services, infrastructure-as-code, and modern release practices.
• Strong reliability and security first mindset —SLO/SLA thinking, monitoring and incident response, paired with DevSecOps practices that ensure resilient, secure, and compliant systems by design.
• Proven ability to lead and grow Tech Leads and senior engineers, raising the technical bar through coaching, design reviews, pragmatic decision-making, and building a culture of engineering excellence.
• A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to simplify and automate—including the use of AI-assisted automation where it meaningfully reduces manual effort, improves quality, and lowers operational risk.

Location

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. qualified external applicants will be considered.
