Position Overview

This role leads the design, planning, and implementation of technology solutions for both new and existing Burlington stores. The Manager partners closely with field leaders, corporate teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to define requirements, uphold performance standards, and ensure alignment with Burlington’s technology strategy—ultimately supporting safe, secure, and well-operated store environments.

The position is accountable for end-to-end project execution across new installations, repairs, maintenance, retrofits, and system enhancements. This includes ensuring all Asset Protection (AP) equipment is deployed consistently, meets operational needs, and supports Burlington’s shortage-reduction initiatives.

By driving standardized processes, holding partners accountable to defined SLAs, and leveraging technology to improve store safety and reduce risk, this role ensures AP systems function reliably and effectively reinforce Burlington’s broader Asset Protection strategy.

A Day in the Life

• The Manager, Asset Protection Equipment & Technology plays a crucial role in leading an impactful Equipment and Technology strategy by:
• Leading and validating that the standards for all Asset Protection Equipment and Technology items, including CCTV, Alarms, EAS, and physical security projects, are met
• Ensuring all projects have the correct scope of work and expectations are consistent with the overall Asset Protection Equipment strategy. Ensures that specific plans for each project track completion on time, within scope, and on budget
• Working closely with internal and external partners to communicate project deliverables and status updates. This includes hosting kick-off calls and post-project recap sessions to set expectations and hold teams accountable. Create a feedback loop to capture relevant information for process improvement
• Working closely with external partners, including vendors and contractors, to communicate project expectations, timelines, deliverables, and professionalism. Additionally, create mechanisms (photo validation, virtual tours, etc.) to regularly review work product to ensure it matches the scope and aligns with the Asset Protection Equipment strategy
• Owning and stewarding the overall project budgets to ensure proper targeting and forecasting. This includes the bid process, CERs, and purchase order agreements
• Providing oversight and leadership to the holistic Asset Protection Department installation and upgrade schedule with a focus on business needs, priorities, and proper workload planning
• Prioritizing and leading special projects and requests based on immediate physical security concerns. This could include the maintenance and repair of existing equipment, or the installation of new equipment/devices
• Traveling to specific sites and projects to walk the scope with internal and external partners, review completed work, or strategize for future program enhancements
• Contributing to the planning of the overall Asset Protection Equipment and Technology strategic roadmap

You'll Come With

• Minimum 4 - 6 years of experience working in a technology or equipment-related function/industry; familiarity with retail environments is also a plus
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate and react
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional business partners
• Excellent analytical skills and conceptual ability to recognize opportunities
• Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects at time and is comfortable working with tight deadlines or ambiguous scenarios; Has a clear bias for action and holds others accountable to results
• Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment

• Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00
