• Your area of work:

As part of Deutsche Börse Groups digital transformation and cloud migration journey, the Big Data & Advanced Analytics (BDAA) team is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Head of Data Infrastructure & Automation. This role focuses on leading and scaling automation capabilities across the enterprise data platform, ensuring that the underlying cloud-based infrastructure and cloud services run efficiently, securely, and reliably through intelligent automation, modern engineering practices, and strong collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams.

• Your responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers and automation specialists.
• Understand the operational lifecycle of cloud native services

(Azure/GCP)

, including

networking

, compute, storage,

IAM,

and

monitoring.

• Maintain strong, practical hands-on familiarity with BigData technologies (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, SQL).
• Oversee and perform hands-on automation for provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources.
• Translate operational challenges into scalable automation solutions.
• Ensure compliant, secure, and resilient cloud operations through

IaC

and automated guardrails.

• Improve

SLAs, SLOs,

and reliability indicators through automated remediation and continuous improvement.

• Implement robust documentation and operational best practices.

• Your profile:

• Proven experience leading and developing high performing technical teams in complex, fast paced environments.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple geographical locations and time zones.
• Strong background in cloud technologies and cloud native operations (e.g., Azure or GCP), with understanding of cloud service lifecycles and operational patterns.
• Solid knowledge of data platforms, big data processing frameworks, and modern data engineering ecosystems (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake).
