Lead Master Planner

• Purpose:

The Lead Master Planner at City Side Developments, Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, will play a pivotal role in the design and development of Master planning and Urban design projects. The candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Masterplanners, Architects, engineers, and project managers to create innovative and functional designs that meet the needs business needs and the highest standards of quality. Expertise in Urban design, design management, and stakeholder management is essential.

• Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the master planning for a large-scale mixed use development, encompassing commercial, hospitality, offices, convention centers, etc.

· Develop site layouts, urban design guidelines, transportation plans, and landscaping strategies that respond to site constraints, zoning codes, environmental conditions, and project goals.

· Lead the design development of the master plan through all stages, including feasibility analysis, data collection, design brief preparation, iterative concept development, and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines.

· Collaborate with external consultant and Internal project teams to develop detailed master plans, drawings, and specifications.

· Utilize demographic, economic, and geographic data to inform planning decisions and strategies.

· Develop comprehensive urban design strategies, master plans, and zoning guidelines that enhance the functionality, sustainability, and livability of urban spaces.

· Assess land use patterns, zoning regulations, and policy frameworks to guide development.

· Integrate transportation solutions, transit-oriented development, and multi-modal transportation systems into planning efforts.

· Contribute to the development of planning policies, guidelines, and regulations.

· Develop innovative and sustainable urban design solutions that enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and livability of urban areas.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and development.

· Conduct urban research and analysis to inform design decisions, incorporating best practices, emerging trends, and sustainable design principles.

· Prepare and present strategy documents, masterplan reports, and visualizations to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and statutory bodies

· Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations into master plans.

· Ensure that urban design projects comply with zoning regulations, local codes, and planning guidelines.

• Experience:

· 15–18 years as a Master planner/Urban Designer, with significant work on large-scale mixed use real estate projects.

· Proven track record in leading full-cycle projects from concept development to on-site completion.

• Education Qualification:

· Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized institution.

· Preferred: M. Arch from reputed institutes such as CEPT University and School of Planning & Architecture (SPA)

• Certification Required: No specific certifications required, but relevant certifications in architectural design are advantageous.

• Behavioural Skills:

· Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

· Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

• Technical Skills:

· Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, MS office and know how of Revit, GIS would be essential.

· Proficiency in building/planning, infra codes for Urban design, planning and building.

· Experience in preparing design brief and feasibility studies.

• Non-Negotiable Skills:

· Expertise in master planning, urban design, infrastructure coordination, transportation, landscaping, and sustainable development

· Must have exhibited design and design coordination skills with various design stakeholders like landscape, traffic, infra (including PHE, Electrical etc.) and SMEP

· Demonstrable workplace experience of survey and analysis of sites, preparation of base plans and supporting material required for urban design and master planning work is essential.

· At least full cycle of experience from concept development to on-site completion
