What you’ll achieve

As a Solutions Principal

,

you will lead the entire managed services solutioning process on complex pursuits in Dell’s largest accounts to solve our customers’ IT challenges

.

You will work closely with Business Development Executives in driving new business and qualifying opportunities to build pipeline. You ultimately will influence the world’s largest companies to have Dell Technologies build and manage their AI platforms, private clouds, and Cyber Recovery solutions.

• You will:

• Gather, document, and understand customer specific scope requirements to define the appropriate Managed Services approach that achieves the customer’s objectives and expected outcomes.
• Create and own volume models that align all stakeholders on the opportunity and drive financial modeling.
• Collaborate and work with the Managed Services Delivery Leads and Subject Matter Experts, as well as other business partners (Consulting, Professional Services, Dell Financial Services) to develop holistic, end-to-end solution proposals from the design and build phase to Day 2 operations.
• Collaborate with the Managed Services Business Development Executive, pricing team, and legal teams on developing the appropriate pricing strategy and relevant SOW content.
• Engage regularly in customer facing meetings and internal pursuit team meetings.

Essential Requirements

• Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge.
• Proficient at analyzing data and creating flexible models in Excel.
• Strong negotiation and consultative skills.
• 7+ years relevant managed services experience or equivalent operational management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams in a collaborative manner that creates the best end-to-end solution possible.

Desirable Requirements

• Understanding of IT transformation concepts and industry trends.
• Understanding of the Dell Technologies product portfolio and associated positioning/value proposition.
• Knowledge of business case construction, pricing strategy, and financial and accounting principles.
