Backend Engineer responsible for building the core systems behind an AI operating system for supply chain operations. The role involves building backend services using Java 17+, Spring, Hibernate, and related technologies, while owning systems from idea to design to production to learning.

• Build backend services using Java 17+, Spring, Hibernate, and related technologies.
• Work on web application development, cloud infrastructure, databases, messaging systems, caching systems, reliability, observability, and production support for AI used by large enterprise customers.
• Own meaningful parts of the backend from idea to design to production to learning.
• Build systems that survive production and take ownership beyond just writing code.
• Work directly with the CTO to build the core systems behind the product.
• Work with PostgreSQL, PgVector, Redis, Kafka, RocketMQ, or similar systems.
• Build reliable, maintainable, secure, and easy to debug systems.
• Experiment, iterate, and translate fast moving AI capabilities into reliable product outcomes.

• 4-12 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands on experience with Java 17 or above.
• Good experience with Spring, Hibernate, and backend application development.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting production grade systems.
• Hands on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Comfort working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
