Group Head - Media Account Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary job is to build and nurture the team that develops long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Encourage team to gain a deep understanding of the client’s needs, and develop tactics that will deliver the most appropriate products or services.
• To ensure the client is served appropriately and find new sales/services opportunities with existing clients.
• To develop overarching strategies to ensure clients receive the quality and cost-effective services.
• Oversees the team of Account Managers who manages, maintains, and upsells to existing accounts.
• Handle key accounts themselves. But they oversee how the Account Managers team acts as the point of contact between the company and the client to help solve problems and achieve business goals by building trust and providing strategic and realistic solutions.
• Focus on account retention, revenue growth, and relationship growth to measure the success of their clients’ portfolios.
• Work closely with the heads of other teams to provide cross selling opportunities and to discuss solutions, strategies etc.
• Ensure Account Managers are promoting products and services at all relevant events.
• Set Right Expectation to clients about timelines and work deliverables
• Ensure that learnings and best practices from one account are implemented in similar accounts.
• Ensure that the weekly reports are shared on time and are more insightful and data driven.
• Ensuring timely and smooth reporting from ops team to account managers.
• Oversee the Media activities executed as per plans.
• Account Cadence - Invoicing, Contracts, Weekly/Monthly Meetings or Con calls.
• Gain knowledge on new Platforms, ensure 100% Certification of respective teams across platforms, ensure participation in trainings, we should be aware of the new developments in Google, Facebook etc. so, as we can get them implemented
• Set Targets for new initiatives and help build products/ services which can be implemented across clients
• Set KRAs for team members and charter a growth path for your teams
• Coach and develop team and provide opportunities across functions for the team to grow
• Participate in new business pitches, researching data, getting insights and preparing presentations
• Identify opportunities and create plans for big events in advance (Festive/ Sports / Occasions).
• Understanding what the clients are looking to achieve short term and long term and ensure that the team delivers the same.
• Involvement in the current accounts and working towards increasing the media spends and retainer, new business opportunities, account optimization, etc.
• Brainstorming with the accounts and operations team on initiatives that can be taken for improving an accounts performance.
• Set Processes/Checklist for Account Managers for new account on-boarding. For the existing accounts as well have proper processes to ensure that the revenue target is achieved, and the client is updated.
• Have internal weekly meetings for better planning and execution of campaigns.
• Ensure that we have internal ROI targets for every client and those are achieved.
