Position: Deputy General Manager – Accounts
Department: Accounts
Reporting To: CFO
Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

Role Purpose

The General Manager – Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial accounting function of the organization, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The role requires strong expertise in Ind AS, GST compliance, and preparation of financial statements, along with leadership of the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS.
• Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet, profit & loss statement, cash flow statement, and notes to accounts.
• Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of books of accounts.

2. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
• Supervise timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings.
• Handle assessments, notices, and correspondence with statutory authorities.

3. Audit Management

• Coordinate and manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance requirements.

4. Financial Controls & Governance

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes.
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.

5. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
• Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts and finance team.
• Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
• Build a high-performance finance function.

7. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare financial MIS reports for senior management.
• Provide analytical insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
• Additional certifications in finance or taxation will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Accounts.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, Ind AS compliance, and GST regulations.
• Experience in handling audits, statutory compliance, and financial control systems.
• Experience in real estate / infrastructure sector will be preferred.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
• Additional certifications in finance or taxation will be an advantage.
