Global Learning Lead, Fellowship Programs

Position Summary

To advance https://teachforall.org/our-purpose Teach For All's 25-year vision, we are seeking a Global Learning Lead of the Fellowship Programs that Teach For All network partners run. This person will lead global learning and network partner support of the training, support, and development of fellowship participants.   

This leadership role sets the overarching vision and strategic priorities for strengthening network participant development, including ensuring students’ holistic development, participant retention and participant leadership development. The role will lead a global team to foster strong pre-service training, professional development, teacher coaching, leadership and career development, cohort culture, and systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning across these functions within 60+ https://teachforall.org/our-network#networkpartners partner organizations and 30 prospective partners. This will include growing the capacities of network partner staff members to deliver high-impact programs.

This role reports directly to the CEO and will work collaboratively with the other teams at Teach For All to contribute to cohesive support of network partners and global learning that advances progress towards our vision of enabling all children to have the education, support, and opportunity to shape a better future for themselves and all of us.

About the Team

The Fellowship Programs team is composed of a diverse, globally distributed group of teacher training and coaching specialists, learning experience designers, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) specialists, operating in a fluid, highly collaborative environment. Together, they partner directly with network CEOs, Heads of Training, Heads of MEL, and programmatic teams across the Teach For All network. The team coaches and supports network partners to design and execute highly rigorous fellowship programs that drive measurable holistic outcomes for students, and prepare fellows to be lifelong collective leaders for systems change.

Key Responsibilities

1. Foster the development of highly effective fellowship programs across the Teach For All network (50%)

• Set Vision and Priorities: Set priorities to strengthen network partners’ and prospective partners’ approach to fostering strong fellowship cohorts, achieving holistic student development, and advancing the collective leadership of fellows. Enable the seamless integration of the https://learning.teachforall.org/tacl Teaching As Collective Leadership framework into all partner program components, including pre-service training institutes, coaching frameworks, teacher development, and alumni readiness.

• Foster Fellowship Strength: Lead a team that provides coaching and learning opportunities to network partners to strengthen fellowship program outcomes, including student outcomes and participant retention, satisfaction, and development.

• Ensure Strong Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL): Lead the team to ensure partners have the measurement tools, data systems, and routine practices needed to track student, fellow, and alumni outcomes.

• Drive Evidence-Based Improvements: Foster learning loops that surface insights about how to grow student outcomes, fellow retention, and participant development.

2. Advance global learning on teacher-leader development (25%)

• Advance a Global Learning Agenda: Collaborate with the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future’s learning leads to develop and execute a learning agenda to surface and advance insights about how to develop teachers who develop students holistically.

• Foster Network Learning on Fellowship Programs: Shape the learning agenda and lead the effort to generate insights about what approaches foster the strongest fellowship outcomes. Direct the generation, synthesis, and dissemination of insights, foundational frameworks, learning experiences, and knowledge products. Co-create high-quality cross-functional learning experiences that contribute to programmatic and organizational strength of network partners.

3. Network Learning, Knowledge Systems & Team Leadership (25%)

• Lead the Team: Lead, develop, and manage a diverse global team of specialists, coaches, and consultants, ensuring high-impact support that accelerates programmatic outcomes network-wide.

• Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration: Partner with regional and global team members to co-diagnose localized partner needs and build internal organizational capacity around fellowship excellence.

Qualifications

We are looking for a leader who brings both a proven track record in developing teachers to the highest standards of excellence in fostering holistic student development and a deep commitment to and understanding of Teach For All's work and the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: 

• Educational Leadership: 15+ years of experience in education, with a minimum of 10+ years leading large-scale teacher training, fellowship design, instructional and/or leadership coaching, or school leadership programs.

• Commitment to Collective Leadership Development: Deep understanding of Teach For All’s theory of change, with a demonstrated ability to shape and flesh out that theory as it relates to systemic educational equity and classroom impact.

• Strategic Leadership: Ability to set vision and strategy, even in ambiguity and complexity, and to influence and motivate others across lines of difference, with the orientation and capability to channel team focus toward the highest-leverage commitments and high-impact outcomes.

• Organization and Prioritization: Exceptional ability to independently manage multiple shifting priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, globally-distributed environment.

• People Development: Proven experience fostering the leadership and engagement of a diverse, globally dispersed team in an agile environment, with an asset-based coaching orientation prioritizing self-directed learning, self-awareness, collaboration, and leading from purpose and values.

• Data-drivenness: Proven comfort with monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, with the orientation and capability to leverage data for continuous learning and improvement.

• Analysis, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking: Exceptional ability to analyze and synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information into accessible frameworks and insights for diverse global audiences.

• Facilitation and Communication: Strong writing, public speaking, and facilitation skills, capable of providing thought leadership and running complex global roundtables, workshops, and learning forums that surface and elevate meaningful insights.

• Network Building: Ability to build trusting relationships across diverse cultures and lines of power difference, from senior network CEOs and global influencers to classroom teachers.

Compensation

Salary for this position is competitive and dependent on country of hire and prior work experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Travel and Hours

Travel up to 30-40% of the time may be required. Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later calls are an expectation of this role.
