Your Role

Leads the functional-safety software team, ensuring competency, delivery discipline, evidence quality and effective deployment of safety architects, product owners and developers. 

RFQ / Concept

 

Confirm competence, estimates, independence and sourcing for pursuits. 

Planning / Architecture

 

Deploy owners and establish safety execution/review model. 

Implementation / Integration

 

Manage delivery health, evidence maturity and escalations. 

Verification / Release

 

Review readiness, unresolved anomalies and sustainable ownership. 

Production / Operations

 

Drive lessons learned, assessor findings closure and capability investment. 

Key responsibilities

• Own staffing, coaching, competency assessment, certification and succession. 
• Deploy safety expertise by program risk and lifecycle demand. 
• Establish review, escalation and independent-challenge mechanisms. 
• Track work-product maturity, quality, capacity, reuse and safety anomaly trends. 
• Coordinate suppliers while retaining internal ownership of safety-critical decisions and evidence.

 

EDUCATION

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline 

EXPERIENCE

12–16 years 

Your Background

Required competencies

• Leadership of automotive embedded software or functional-safety engineering teams. 
• Strong ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE and lifecycle delivery understanding. 
• Resource planning, supplier governance, risk leadership and customer communication. 
• Ability to drive measurable skill and quality improvement.

 

Preferred competencies

• Functional safety assessor qualification, multiple ASIL domains and global organization leadership.
