Project Overview

In this role, you will be at the forefront of enterprise software evolution, supporting a high-impact project focused on bridging robust backend architectures with cutting-edge AI assistants and agentic frameworks. You will join a collaborative, fast-paced team dedicated to integrating Large Language Models securely into dynamic web applications. The project involves architecting secure API workflows, managing sensitive data protection, and potentially connecting with major HR tech platforms. You will help transform traditional applications into intelligent, secure, context-aware systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and secure backend services using Python/Django and Java/Spring Boot.

• Frontend Development: Develop and implement dynamic, responsive user interface features using TypeScript and React.

• AI & LLM Integration: Embed Large Language Models, generative AI assistants, and agentic frameworks directly into web applications.

• Security & Protocol Management: Secure communications by implementing strict REST API protocols, OAuth 2.0 workflows, advanced token management, and robust AI security guardrails (including context isolation and sensitive data protection).

• Agile Collaboration: Maintain clean technical documentation, actively manage JIRA workflows, and communicate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into production-ready features.

Must-Have Skills

• Backend Mastery: Strong, hands-on development experience with Python/Django (highest priority) and Java/Spring Boot.

• Frontend Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience building dynamic UI features in TypeScript and React.

• AI & LLM Integration: Proven track record integrating web applications with LLMs, generative AI assistants, or agentic frameworks.

• API Security & Protocols: Deep experience with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, scopes, token management, and AI security guardrails (sensitive data protection, context isolation).

• Agile & Communication: Strong JIRA workflow practices, clean technical documentation skills, and fluent verbal/written English.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• HR Tech Integration Experience: Direct API integration experience with Workday (HRIS) and/or iCIMS (ATS).

• MCP Ecosystem: Hands-on experience developing or managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, tools, and resources.

Time Zone & Collaboration

This role is 100% remote from LATAM and requires consistent overlap with teams in Central Time (CT). Flexibility is expected to accommodate key ceremonies, stand-ups, and collaborative sessions within standard Austin business hours.
