Job Title – Finance Analyst
About the Role:
At CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (‘CBRE IA&R’) we are hiring an Assistant Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Fund Accountant or Fund Controller, you will be supporting the service delivery to an agreed portfolio of clients in line with agreed client specific service level agreements. In the role of an Assistant Accountant for CBRE IA&R, you will work in a successful and ambitious organisation that is leading in the Fund Accounting of Real Estate Funds, including open/closed ended direct funds, listed REITs, mutual funds investing in global real estate securities as well as private partnership and multi-manager funds. We also manage joint ventures and separate accounts meeting specific client investment requirements. You will join a team that provides core accounting services, plus investment/product support to the real estate fund range in UK & Europe.
What You’ll Do:
Support the team’s production and delivery of Statutory Reporting, Investor Reporting, Board Papers, NAV Calculations, Income Distribution Calculations and Income Tax and VAT Returns for the UK, Luxembourg and Jersey Real Estate Funds or Special Purpose Vehicles where required.
Maintain appropriate records for entities and underlying assets on our Yardi system where appropriate.
Maintain good working relationships between the team and its internal/external clients and suppliers.
With the support of senior team members, ensure that CBRE group policies are complied with and existing procedures/practices and processes are refined.
Assist with loan and cash book administration where applicable.
Complete other ad-hoc projects and tasks from time to time
What You'll Need:
Typical educational requirement:
School leaver qualifications
You may be a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
You may have some previous accounting experience and some knowledge of real estate structures
Ambitious and driven to complete a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with a wide team
Good attention to detail
Happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects
A good team player
