Responsibilities

Materials Management

  • Materials Management
  • Collaborate with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports. Plan Material procurement in advance & planning of vendors. Raise requisitions for materials by calculating quantities as per lead time. Ensure seeds, plants, manure, and other supplies are regularly restocked. Coordinate and liaise with Estate Admin to update the stock received and consumed
  • Direct Lorries to designated and safe storage areas in coordination with Estate Admin Maintain the records of materials ordered and used. Record acceptance/rejections of the material received at site Field Execution
  • Micro-scheduling of work as per technical drawings and farm layouts.
  • Execution of all field operations including planting and upkeep Supervise quality workmanship and avoid rework.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports on Cultivation, man days utilisation and general developments
  • Implement soil conservation and sustainability practices
  • Monitor fields, Monitor orchards, fields and production areas to forecast when crops will be fully grown.
  • Execute the harvesting as per the harvesting plan and Ensure the harvest is quality checked
  • Ensure the harvest is despatched as per the plan
  • Estimate how much damage the weather may cause to crops. Maintain progress charts and dates record for all activities. Schedule repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery Field Safety Understand HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) for each activity and make sure that safety is implemented at all stages of work. Arrange safety meetings regularly on the field. Ensure compliance with safety manual and safety action plan specific to the project.
  • Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety regulations. Team Management
  • Identify the team members and external agencies required to execute the plan of the company
  • Participate in selection interviews to select the right candidates for the team
  • Orient and train new joiners in the HSSE department
  • Monitor activities of the team to ensure all SOPs are implemented correctly and work is executed as per schedule
  • Train and counsel team members to ensure they perform efficiently
  • Evaluate team performance
  • Maintain a positive environment in the team and ensure that all team members bond well as a team
  • Motivate team members and encourage them to learn new things
