The Extrusion Officer is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality tubing as per specifications. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards while ensuring minimal waste and downtime..

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines for medical-grade tubing/products
• Set parameters (temperature, pressure, speed) as per SOPs
• Ensure product quality, dimensions, and compliance with standards
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain production records and batch documentation
• Follow GMP, safety, and hygiene requirements
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and approvals
• Minimize material wastage and improve process efficiency
• Conduct preventive maintenance and report breakdowns

• Knowledge of plastic extrusion processes (tubing, profiles, sheets).
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (micrometer, calipers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments and minor repairs.
Willingness to work in shifts and in a manufacturing environment.

• Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / CIPET / Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics, or Polymer preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience as an Extrusion in plastics manufacturing (medical tubing experience is an advantage).
