Engineer-QS -PROJECT SITE

KEY SKILLS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

Technical Skills:

Strong math, accounting, analytical, and computer skills (QS software)

• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and time management
• Project Site: Evaluating measurements and bills submitted by suppliers/subcontractors. Checking with actual estimation and drawings ,checking contractor site bills , handling variations, and resolving disputes
• Monitoring: Identifying potential risks, advising on value engineering, and ensuring compliance
• Education: Engineering degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying/Civil
• Experience: QS: 2 years (Required) with experience in project site QS management

JOB ROLE

A Site QS (Quantity Surveyor) Engineer manages the verifying of contractor's bills , measurement checking , cross checking quantity with initial estimation, checking construction project works , focusing on cost control, estimation and drawing analysing . Their core duties include checking and verifying contract billings, progress reports, claims, deductions of various subcontractors and contractors bills and to ensure projects stay within budget and meet quality standards.
