What You'll Do

As an Analyst in BCG X Product Delivery, you will support the delivery of projects and digital solutions for clients across the oil & gas, refining, chemicals, and broader energy value chain. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, operations, and technology, helping teams translate operational challenges into practical, high-impact solutions.

You will support the analysis of client problems, identification of value opportunities, and design of use cases across areas such as refining performance, planning and scheduling, margin optimization, emissions reduction, turnaround management, maintenance, reliability, and operational excellence.

You will work closely with BCG case teams, BCG X product and technical teams, and client stakeholders. Your responsibilities may include supporting client interviews and workshops, conducting diagnostics and analyses, sizing value opportunities, developing business cases, and contributing to roadmaps and change management activities.

You will also help translate strategic and operational priorities into clear solution requirements and support the development of reusable assets, industry perspectives, commercial materials, and delivery playbooks.

YOU ARE GOOD AT:

• Analyzing complex business and operational problems and breaking them into structured components.
• Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify performance improvement and value opportunities.
• Supporting problem solving across oil & gas, refining, chemicals, energy, and other asset-intensive industries.
• Working effectively with consulting, product, technical, and client teams to gather inputs and develop solutions.
• Translating operational challenges and analytical findings into clear insights and digital solution requirements.
• Supporting value sizing across areas such as margin optimization, planning and scheduling, maintenance, reliability, emissions, and operational excellence.
• Synthesizing data, interviews, workshops, and technical inputs into clear analyses, presentations, and recommendations.

What You'll Bring

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in consulting, oil & gas, energy, refining, chemicals, industrial goods, operations, digital transformation, analytics, or performance improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative information.
• Interest in the energy sector and topics such as refining economics, planning and scheduling, margin optimization, maintenance, reliability, emissions, or operational excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, energy, operations, or a related field.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and learning skills, with an interest in connecting industry challenges, digital solutions, and measurable business impact.
