Database testing - TDS

Job Summary We are looking for a Database Tester responsible for validating data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across databases and applications. The role involves executing SQL queries, performing data validation, and ensuring database quality during data migration, ETL, and application testing.

Key Responsibilities

Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency between source and target databases Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation Perform data migration testing, ETL testing, and backend testing Conduct control totals, record count checks, and duplicate data validation Verify constraints, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, and views Identify data mismatches and log defects with clear evidence Perform data profiling and analyze data quality issues Support UAT and regression testing for database-related changes Collaborate with developers, ETL teams, and business analysts Required

Skills

Strong knowledge of SQL (joins, subqueries, functions) Hands-on

experience

with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server) Understanding of database concepts (constraints, normalization, indexes)

Experience

in data migration / ETL testing Knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
