Experience.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proven experience in building and scaling data teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and cloud-native data solutions.
- Hands-on experience in Azure Synapse to Databricks migration projects, including workload assessment, ETL migration, and performance optimization.
- Strong expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
- Experience with Databricks cluster management, performance tuning, cost optimization, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and security implementation using Unity Catalog and Azure security services.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud data modernization and migration programs in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and DevOps practices in a data environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- It’s a huge plus if you have a relevant Microsoft or Databricks certification.
- AI Exposure is an add on advantage.
