👩‍💻 The role

We're looking for a sharp, hungry analyst to join the data team at Headout. This is a foundational role, you'll work closely with senior analysts and leadership to build the reports, dashboards, and automations that power decisions across the company.

Depending on where the need is greatest and where your strengths lie, you could find yourself working on growth and marketing analytics, product analytics, operations and supply-side problems, or a mix of all three

• The common thread: you'll be embedded in the business, working on problems that matter.

This isn't about crunching numbers in a corner. You'll understand how our marketplace works, why metrics move, and what levers actually drive outcomes. You'll ship real work within your first week, and own meaningful workstreams within your first few months.

Whether you're analyzing conversion funnels, attribution models, supplier economics, or product experiments, the problems here are genuinely hard.

• Breadth of exposure: You won't be siloed into corner of the business. You'll see how growth, product, operations, and finance interconnect and build the analytical muscle to work across all of them.

• Learn fast by doing: You'll pair with senior analysts on complex projects, get direct feedback from leadership, and see your work influence actual decisions. The feedback loops are tight, and the growth curve is steep.

• A team that gives a damn: We care about speed and pragmatism over perfection, but we don't ship sloppy work. Feedback is direct and frequent. We document what we learn. We help each other get better.

💝 What skills & experience do you need?

• 1 - 3 years in an analytics, BI, or data science role

• Strong SQL skills, you can write complex joins, window functions, CTEs without hand-holding. You know how to debug a slow query.

• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, or simple analysis

• Hands-on experience with at least BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

• Nice to have: exposure to dbt, Airflow, or similar; basic understanding of data warehousing concepts

• Bonus: exposure to marketplace/e-commerce, consumer tech
