This is a remote role - preferred candidates on EST, or CST.

• Summary:

The Cybersecurity Engineer - Principal is expected to provide technical and engineering expertise for the Cyber Security Department. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their expertise on provisioning, supporting, and maintenance of Cyber Security operating platforms, applications and services.  The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for providing and implementing the technological solutions and configurations that are in alignment with the overall enterprise cyber security strategy and objectives.

• Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, implementation, and delivery of Post Quantum Cryptographic solutions and systems
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise within the cryptography space, including FIPS 203-205, FALCON, and NIST IR 8547 candidate algorithms, as well as network architecture, systems design, software platforms, API calls, and some knowledge on mainframe architecture
• Responsible for developing and maintaining cyber security solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of related cybersecurity experience
• 8+ years of production support and design of Cyber Security technologies
• 8+ years of operational experience with security technologies 
• 8+ years of implementing or utilizing technology lifecycles and best practices
• 1+ years of experience in the implementation of cyber security tools (hardware and software)
• 1+ years of experience in participating and leading projects and implementing new technologies and solutions

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or other related field
• CISSP, CRISC or other comparable encryption certifications
• Expert level knowledge of PKI and Cryptographic solutions (certifiable lifecycle tools like Venafi, or other certificate lifecycle management tools like Hashicorp)
• Expert level knowledge of operating systems, e.g. Windows, Linux, & Unix
• Expert level network architecture designs and how cryptographic traffic travels within a network
• Excellent customer facing communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to research, evaluate, and devise course of action for security hardware/software and tools to make overall impact on the enterprise’s existing security environment

• Compensation Range:

$93,000 - $189,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
