Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with different teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer applies modern development frameworks and follows agile methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions. Throughout the day, there is a focus on continuous enhancement of software performance and adaptability to evolving business needs, ensuring that the delivered products align with organizational goals and user expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

VIM Configuration & Implementation: End-to-end configuration of OpenText VIM components, including DP (Document Processing) document types, Archive document types, PO blocking process, Non-PO Invoice approval, VIM Roles, process types, exception handling, and logic modules.

Upgrade experience: VIM component and SP level upgrade knowledge

OCR & Data Capture: Configure and optimize OpenText Information Extraction service (IES) for high-accuracy metadata extraction, line-item matching, and validation.

Enhancements & Projects: Prepare Functional Specifications (FDS/FS) for custom enhancements and coordinate with technical teams for testing and deployment

Workflow Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex runtime workflow errors, stuck work items.

Production Support (AMS): Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Incidents and Service Requests (SRs) related to VIM in a timely manner, adhering to SLAs

Integration Support: Manage and support interfaces, including EDI, e-invoicing, and email channels

Stakeholder Management: Interact with business stakeholders for user support and issue resolution.

Good to have – SAP MM and FI experience

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP VIM by OpenText.

AMS Experience: At least 2+ years of experience working in an AMS/Support project environment.

Must have done 2 to 3 E2E implementation Project in SAP VIM module in a client facing role.

Expert in configuring SAP VIM, ICC/IES.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP VIM configuration, including VIM Analytics, Exception Handling, and Document Types.

OpenText Components: Experience with IES (Information Extraction Service) and Archive Server.

SAP Modules: Deep understanding of SAP MM-LIV (Logistics Invoice Verification) and FI-AP (Accounts Payable)

Documentation: Proficiency in creating FS, test scenarios, and training documents.

Tools: Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).

Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

Good to Have Skills Experience with S/4HANA.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Vendor Invoice Management.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience in integrating SAP Vendor Invoice Management with other enterprise systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to invoice processing workflows.
• Familiarity with customizing SAP modules to meet unique business requirements.
• Competence in performance tuning and optimization of SAP Vendor Invoice Management solutions.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Vendor Invoice Management.
• This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
