Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Signaling System Engineer & Chief is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• System Architecture & Strategy: Authorizing the design of the

Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC)

system, ensuring it supports the required headway, ATO (Automatic Train Operation), and ATP (Automatic Train Protection).

• Safety Assurance & SIL Compliance: Overseeing the

Safety Life Cycle

to ensure the system meets

SIL4

(Safety Integrity Level 4) standards and managing relationships with the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA).

• Interface Management: Leading critical integration between Signaling and Rolling Stock (on-board equipment), Platform Screen Doors (PSD), and the Centralized Traffic Control (CTC).

• CMRS Certification: Directing the preparation of technical dossiers and field demonstrations required for the

Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS)

to authorize commercial operations.

• EMC/EMI Governance: Ensuring the signaling system is electromagnetically compatible with the Traction Power system to prevent signal interference or "phantom" occupancy.

• Procurement & Vendor Control: Vetting global tenders for signaling hardware and software, and approving

Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

for critical interlockings and servers.

• Migration & Brownfield Planning: For line extensions, managing the complex "cut-over" strategies to integrate new signaling software without disrupting existing passenger services.

Profile/Skills

• Graduate in relevant Engineering
• Required total 23+ years of experience
• 7+ years of experience in relevant projects.
