Job Description
The CIO will be responsible for defining and executing Loom Solar's overall technology, digital transformation and information systems strategy. The CIO will work closely with the CEO and business leaders to identify where technology can: Increase revenue Improve employee productivity Reduce operating costs Improve customer
experience
Strengthen dealer and distributor relationships Automate business processes Improve manufacturing efficiency Improve inventory and working-capital management Create real-time management visibility Reduce dependency on individuals Enable Loom to scale rapidly without proportionately increasing manpower
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy Develop Loom Solar's 3–5 year technology roadmap aligned with business objectives. Build a scalable technology architecture capable of supporting rapid business growth. Identify opportunities for automation, AI, analytics and digital transformation. Establish technology standards, governance and security policies. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies relevant to solar, manufacturing, distribution and retail. 2. Digital Transformation Lead the transformation of Loom from manual processes to digital processes. Key areas include: Sales → Dealer → Customer → Order → Production → Dispatch → Installation → Service → Payment Digitize workflows across departments. Eliminate unnecessary Excel/manual reporting. Automate approvals and repetitive activities. Create digital workflows with clear ownership and accountability. Build a single source of truth for business information. 3. Business Applications Own and optimize the company's technology ecosystem, including: ERP CRM Dealer management system Sales-force automation Manufacturing systems Inventory and warehouse systems Finance systems HRMS Customer service systems Partner portals Consumer applications Analytics and BI platforms E-commerce platforms Lending/financing technology Service and installation platforms The CIO will ensure that these systems are integrated rather than operating as independent applications. 4. Sales & Dealer Technology Build technology to support Loom's large dealer and sales network. The CIO should enable: Dealer onboarding Dealer KYC Dealer enquiry management Lead allocation Sales-force tracking Dealer ordering Inventory visibility Pricing visibility Scheme management Incentive calculation Dealer performance dashboards Dealer credit limits Payment tracking Dealer reactivation Territory management Competition price tracking Dealer communication The objective is to make every salesperson, dealer and distributor more productive through technology. 5. Customer Technology Build a superior digital customer journey from enquiry to installation and after-sales service. Technology should enable: Lead → Qualification → Quotation → Financing → Order → Installation → Commissioning → Warranty → Service Develop and improve: Consumer app/portal Lead management Online quotation Solar system configuration Financing application Installation tracking Warranty registration Service requests Customer communication Customer feedback Referral and influencer programs 6. Data & Business Intelligence Create a real-time management information system for the CEO and leadership team. Build dashboards covering: Revenue Sales Dealer productivity Dealer activation Inventory Production Dispatch Gross margin Working capital Collections Customer acquisition Service Employee productivity Manufacturing efficiency Project execution The CIO should make "data before opinion" a core management principle. 7. Artificial Intelligence & Automation Develop an AI roadmap for Loom Solar. Potential applications include: AI sales assistant AI customer support AI dealer support Lead scoring Sales forecasting Demand forecasting Inventory optimization Production planning Predictive maintenance Pricing intelligence Collection prediction Employee productivity analytics Automated MIS Management reporting AI-powered knowledge management The CIO should continuously identify processes where AI can replace repetitive human work. 8. Manufacturing Technology Work with the manufacturing team to build a technology-enabled factory. Focus areas: Production planning MES OEE monitoring Quality tracking Machine monitoring Predictive maintenance Raw-material planning Warehouse automation Barcode/RFID Production traceability Energy monitoring Real-time production dashboards Quality analytics The objective is to move toward a smart factory environment. 9. Supply Chain & Inventory Build technology systems for end-to-end supply-chain visibility. The CIO will work with operations to improve: Demand forecasting Procurement planning Raw-material availability Finished-goods inventory Warehouse management Dispatch planning Logistics tracking Dealer stock visibility Slow-moving inventory identification Working-capital optimization 10.
