WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build Strategic Carrier Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking carriers, dispatchers, and fleet managers.
- Expand RJ Logistics' carrier network by identifying and qualified transportation partners.
- Maintain consistent communication to secure available truck capacity and strengthen long-term partnerships. Serve as a trusted point of contact between carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Source Capacity & Negotiate Solutions
- Source carrier capacity for customer freight across multiple transportation modes.
- Negotiate competitive rates while balancing profitability, service, and carrier relationships.
- Match available equipment with customer freight to maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage spot freight and support dedicated transportation opportunities.
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure exceptional service.
- Proactively identify transportation challenges and develop timely solutions.
- Communicate shipment updates, expectations, and service requirements clearly with all stakeholders.
- Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining a positive customer experience.

everage Technology & Data
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related technology to manage freight activity.
- Accurately document load information, accessorial charges, communications, and shipment updates.
- Follow company procedures to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.
Collaborate & Grow
- Partner with Operations, Customer Sales, and Leadership to meet customer expectations.
- Support seamless shift transitions through proactive communication.
- Stay informed on freight market trends, carrier capacity, and transportation pricing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional team responsibilities as needed.
