Job Description

The Carbon Project Intern will serve as the day-to-day coordination lead for the BioLite improved-cookstove project. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the intern will maintain the project workplan, coordinate internal teams and partners, support field rollout, and ensure that distribution and customer data are complete, accurate, traceable and audit-ready. Responsibilities

Project coordination: Own the activity tracker, milestones, meeting actions and weekly status updates; coordinate Commercial, field, Finance, Logistics, Data/Credit and external partners, and promptly escalate delays or risks. Field rollout: Coordinate product demonstrations, partner mobilisation, carbon marketing and distribution activities in approved locations, ensuring teams understand customer eligibility, consent, geographic and documentation requirements. Data and MRV support: Capture and validate required records, including customer/KYC details, consent, GPS or ward information, stove serial or unique IDs, proof of delivery or installation, and monitoring evidence. Data quality: Run completeness, duplicate and outlier checks; maintain a clear audit trail; follow up missing information and close data exceptions within agreed timelines. Stock traceability: Reconcile stove allocations and distributions with warehouse, logistics, partner and sales records, maintaining end-to-end traceability from dispatch to the eligible end-user. Reporting and assurance: Maintain a concise dashboard covering units distributed, data completeness, exceptions, reconciliations and milestones; support field checks, audits and verification requests. Learning and improvement: Collect customer and partner feedback, document lessons and recommend practical changes that strengthen adoption, data quality, project controls and delivery efficiency. Key Performance Indicators Project milestones completed on time and verified distributions achieved against plan. Project revenue from sales of carbon funded products and carbon revenue High completeness and accuracy of customer, consent, location, stove-ID and proof-of-delivery records. Accurate stock-to-customer reconciliation, timely closure of exceptions and continuous audit readiness. Weekly and monthly updates submitted accurately and on schedule, with risks clearly escalated.

Requirements

Recent graduate in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Economics, Business, Data, Project Management, Development Studies or a related field. Confident user of Google Sheets; able to clean data, maintain trackers and prepare clear summaries. Exposure to carbon markets, MRV, clean cooking or last-mile distribution is an advantage. Strong ownership, integrity, attention to detail, communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable working in the field and following tasks through to closure.
