CAD Engineer

Mechanical Design & AutoCAD

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and modify detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical designs using AutoCAD. Develop fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for plant machinery and equipment. Create 2D and basic 3D models as required for engineering projects. Review engineering specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings. Coordinate with maintenance, production, and project teams to understand design requirements. Prepare equipment layouts, piping layouts, structural drawings, and utility drawings. Conduct site measurements and update drawings to reflect actual plant conditions. Maintain drawing records, revisions, and document control systems. Support plant expansion, modification, and improvement projects through engineering design assistance. Ensure all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues by providing technical drawing support. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability. Desired

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering drawing interpretation. Knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and industrial equipment. Familiarity with plant layouts, piping systems, and maintenance practices. Understanding of engineering standards, tolerances, and drafting principles. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Preferred
