The Business Analyst will work alongside a diverse team, including vendors, to drive the design and implementation of technology platforms to fit the business current requirements and future enhancements of Mission.
What You'll Do
- Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tools and approaches, and the application of standards and best practices. Collaborate with other team members to adhere to our standards, framework, and best practices for delivery of technology applications and products.
Work with team members to adhere to repeatable and scalable processes for the collection, design, and prioritization of work.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging trends, needs and opportunities to provide distinctive value and outcomes from the services and data.
Maintain a strategic outlook and stay current with leading technology products and techniques.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of key business processes to be seen as a trusted advisor to the business in bringing technology to bear on business problems and procedures.
Conduct testing of software deployment and updates.
Assist in managing projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Participate in testing and quality assurance of systems and processes.
Provide support and training to end-users on new systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; OR 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services, insurance, or data analytics industry.
Proven success in business requirements gathering, design and development proper documentation for prioritization within the overall roadmap and technology direction.
Knowledge of business key performance indicators (KPIs) with a preference in KPIs for the risk, insurance, and claims industry.
Demonstrated ability in business facilitation and effective use of project management techniques/tools.
Client facing experience is required
Ability to travel up to 15% of the year

- 2+ years Insurance Company, MGA or TPA experience preferred.
5+ years of Business Analyst experience preferred.
Experience in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory environment.
Project management experience and managing business projects for the full life cycle, from inception to implementation.
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Understands the fundamentals of commercial insurance and claims processes/services.
Working knowledge of insurance technology (i.e., policy and program admin systems)
Understanding of Agile project management and development process

This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).
