Position: Associate Tech Specialist - Backend (Nest.js, Next.js)

Location- Pune (Hybrid)/ Remote

Job Description:

We're looking for a Associate Technical specialist to help build and scale a production REST API. Our stack currently leans toward Ruby/Rails, but we're framework-agnostic when it comes to experience — strong backgrounds in Django, Laravel, NestJS, or Spring are all welcome. What matters most is deep, senior-level expertise building and operating ORM-backed REST APIs in production.

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior-level backend experience building and maintaining an ORM-backed REST API using Rails, Django, Laravel, NestJS, or Spring
• PostgreSQL — schema design, query performance, and data integrity in production systems
• Background job processing — hands-on experience with Sidekiq, SQS, Celery, Bull, or equivalent, including designing for idempotency and safe retries
• Automated API testing — proficiency with RSpec, pytest, JUnit, or equivalent testing frameworks
• Authentication & authorization — practical experience with token-based and OAuth flows
• Search infrastructure — experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including query DSL, nested queries, and reindexing strategies
• External system integrations — experience integrating with an external system of record; Salesforce experience strongly preferred
Willingness to work in Ruby/Rails — no prior Rails experience required, but candidates must be open to learning and working in it day-to-day

Nice to Have:

• Rails / Ruby experience
• Salesforce sync experience (SOQL, object mapping, polling, push-on-change patterns)
• PeopleSoft, SOAP, or other ERP integration experience
• AWS services (S3, SQS, RDS)
• Docker Compose
• Feature flag systems and progressive rollout practices
