About the role:

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join our Impact Analytics team. The ideal candidate will combine strong backend development

in Node.js with deep expertise in business intelligence, dimensional data modeling, and self-service analytics platforms such as Power BI and Metabase or similar. You will play a pivotal role in designing data models, building APIs, developing analytical dashboards, and integrating low-code platforms and workflow engines to support a fast-growing social impact technology ecosystem. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across the full stack — from database schema to semantic models to reporting and APIs. What you’ll do: Business Intelligence & Analytics Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, paginated reports, and KPI scorecards in Power BI and Metabase.

• Build robust semantic / dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) to support self-service analytics.
• Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and MDX queries for multi-dimensional analysis and complex business logic.
• Optimize report performance through query tuning, aggregation strategies, and incremental refresh.

• Apply REST principles, versioning, authentication (JWT / OAuth2), and standardized error handling consistently.

• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services to support reporting, automation, and workflow pipelines. Database Programming & Schema Design
• Design normalized OLTP schemas and denormalized OLAP / reporting schemas based on use case.
• Write efficient SQL queries, schema design, views, and indexes across MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Implement ETL / ELT pipelines to move data between transactional systems and analytics layers.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, deduplication, and integrity across distributed sources. Low-Code, Workflow & BPM Tools
• Configure and extend low-code data platforms such as NocoDB to deliver rapid application backends.
• Work with workflow and BPM tools (e.g., XState, Camunda, n8n, Power Automate) to model and automate business processes.
• Build integrations between low-code platforms, APIs, and BI tools to create end-to-end solutions.
